“Recently, our hospitals had CHCER perform a Security Assessment of our facilities on two campuses. We found the staff to be professional and their expert advice to be helpful in identifying potential vulnerabilities in our facilities. With so many regulations and accreditation guidelines to consider, having their expertise allowed us to get focused on addressing those vulnerabilities and prioritize our resources to ultimately protect our staff, patients and visitors.”

Dear Dr. Blair,
This is a belated thank you for the exceptional services you provided to the hospital during your visit. You and CHCER’s superlative staff exceeded our expectations in all aspects of the review and evaluation. I had many phone conversations with Polly but never knew she was “Dr. Scanlon” with a PhD until we actually met. Please pass along a special thank you to Cindy. Months after we received the report she has continued to be of assistance, answering our questions on technical matters, providing documents and forms, aiding us in developing our recommended training and forwarding pertinent information to keep us updated and on track.
You certainly exemplify the slogan, “It’s the service after the sale that counts.” It was indeed a pleasure to work with you, Jim. You, Polly, Cindy, Paul and the entire staff have been so gracious and I hope we have the opportunity to meet again. I speak for everyone at the hospital when I say we went away feeling like we had been working not only with consultants but good friends. If there is ever anything I can do in turn, please, feel free to contact me anytime.
Sincerely,
Stan Hudson Safety Coordinator, Evangelical Hospital, Lewisburg, PA

“I was new to my role as the Risk Manager and Chief Safety Officer for a three hundred and eleven (311) bed acute care hospital. Fortunately, our organization recognized the importance of facing the security and preparedness demands of today’s environment and allowed me to have CHCER review our facility and emergency management plans. With CHCER’s assistance, we took the steps to evaluate our existing plans, policies and procedures, and developed strategies to strengthen our hospital’s readiness position. CHCER assisted us in the process of identifying our vulnerabilities and strengthening our policies and procedures. The CHCER review also enabled us to better understand and implement the on-line vigilance and CBRNE training provided by its affiliated organization, Tiger Six. It was a growth experience for all of those who participated. Furthermore, during an unannounced survey, not only did the Joint Commission find our facility in full compliance with the Environment of Care Standards, our surveyor told us he was recommending our facility as an example of best practice in emergency preparedness!”
